237 days in. 99 days left.

What we have accomplished and the work that lies ahead…

237 days ago, I formally announced my reelection campaign. Now, we only have 99 days left until the midterm elections in Virginia.

Over the weekend, my campaign and Virginia Democrats hosted our “100 Days Out Weekend of Action.” Volunteers and campaign organizers mobilized across the state – with canvassing events in over 40 communities, over 280 volunteers, and more than 12,500 doors knocked.

If you were one of the folks out knocking doors this weekend – with my team or another Democrat running for office – THANK YOU. This is how we’re going to win in November: one volunteer, one walk packet, one conversation with a voter at a time.

What we accomplished this weekend was huge, there’s no doubt about that. And it was the product of months of planning, behind-the-scenes organizing, and infrastructure-building.

Over the past 8 months, we’ve built out a team and operation I’m incredibly proud of.

We’ve hired and trained the staff we need to reach voters wherever they are – on the doors, on the phone, or online.

We’ve traveled across Virginia – meeting with community leaders, talking to new voters, and recruiting volunteers.

And we’ve done the important behind the scenes work. We gathered over 18,000 nominating signatures, formally filed to get on the ballot in Virginia, and officially secured the Democratic nomination for Senate.

Over the next 99 days, our work gets busier, faster – and every day counts more than the last.

Next week, after the Virginia primaries, we’ll learn who our Republican opponent will be, and we’ll need to be ready to help voters understand the choice they need to make at the ballot box this year.

We’ll go up with TV ads and targeted digital ads – to reach the folks we need to persuade and mobilize as voting begins.

And we’ll host even more meet-and-greets, canvass launches, and other community events to talk with voters directly about what’s at stake in this election and what I plan to accomplish if Virginians decide to rehire me for another term.

All of this takes resources, and our campaign relies heavily on grassroots donors to keep our operations running. The earlier resources come in, the more strategically we can put them to use. So if you’re waiting for the right time to make a donation to our campaign, that moment is now.
